What’s New BCAPL?

Plenty!

“The Greatest Pool Tournament in the World!” will be even greater in 2013:

Ø New Men’s Leisure Singles and Women’s Leisure Singles divisions for players who have not cashed in the Open Divisions in past nationals

Ø The 1st US Open 8-Ball Championship will join the US Open 10-Ball Championship and the US Open One Pocket Championship.  As with the 10-Ball event, the US Open 8-Ball Championship will be $25,000 added and a 2013 Billiard Congress of America (BCA) Points Event.

Ø FREE Spectator General Admission to all three pro events for event participants

Ø 2013 WPA World Artistic Pool Championship, produced by the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) Artistic Pool Division

Ø 25th US Junior National 9-Ball Championships, produced by the Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) 

Ø More pool tables, more mini-tournaments ... more events than ever before!

Green fees – We are finally introducing green fees at the 2013 nationals, as requested by many of our players and League Operators in recent years.  We have watched as the new method has become more popular and widespread, and we are now ready to join the trend.  We may keep a few tables that accept tokens in a small “Action Room” for those who want to indulge in lengthy matchups, but 7’ tables will be open for all the amateur events, plus Second Chance events, mini-tournaments, and practice.

Green fees will be added to each amateur entry fee, and paid by the players and teams when they enter.  Now, they can play pool to their hearts’ content at the Rio, with no concerns about paying table time while in Las Vegas.
